Forest honey from the wild forest, naturally rich in minerals, iron and antioxidants. No added sugar, no additives and no compromises — just pure honey that brings a stronger, full taste of nature.

Forest honey isn't a floral honey — bees collect it from honeydew on leafy trees like oak and beech in pristine forests. It has a dark colour, an intense taste and an exceptionally high content of mineral salts, iron and antioxidants, which makes it more nutritious than most floral honeys.

Forest honey is naturally rich in iron — ideal for people with low energy levels or anaemia. Its high antioxidant content protects cells from oxidative stress, and its antimicrobial properties support the immune system. One teaspoon a day can be a replacement for more expensive supplements.

Yes, for children over 1 year old. Children under one year must not consume any honey (risk of botulism). For older children, forest honey is an excellent replacement for sugar and refined sweeteners — and its rich taste makes it a special win in milk porridge, pancakes and on bread.

We ship in protective packaging that prevents the glass from breaking. The shelf life of forest honey is not limited if it's kept in a cool and dark place — honey doesn't spoil. Delivery within Croatia takes 2–4 business days.

Od medne rose, ne od cvijeta

Pčele ga stvaraju od medne rose (medljike) koju skupljaju s lišća šumskog drveća. Upravo zato je tamniji, gušći i bogatiji mineralima.

Have questions? We have answers.

Everything you need to know about Zumzz Forest honey — in one place.

Why is forest honey darker and less sweet? +

Because it doesn't come from a flower. Bees create forest honey (honeydew honey) from honeydew they collect from the leaves of forest trees, not from floral nectar. That's why it's darker, thicker and less sweet — and significantly richer in minerals and iron than light honeys.

My honey crystallised quickly — is it spoiled? +

The opposite — it's a sign of top quality. Forest honey naturally crystallises quickly, and honey that never crystallises has almost always been heated or mixed with syrup. If you want it liquid again, warm the jar in a bowl of warm water (below 40°C) — the enzymes stay intact.

How is it used and how much? +

The recommendation is one tablespoon a day. It's best consumed on its own, held in the mouth until it dissolves, or stirred into lukewarm milk or tea. Avoid high temperatures (above 40°C) to preserve all the nutrients.

Who is it for? Can children have it? +

It's recommended for athletes, people who feel exhausted and lovers of strong, caramel flavours. Like any honey, it's not intended for children under 12 months or for people allergic to bee products.

How long does it last and how do I store it? +

Real honey practically does not expire. Keep it at room temperature, in a closed jar, in a dark place and it stays excellent for years. Quick crystallisation is completely normal and desirable — just a sign that it's real.
